The OPTO-X complements the HDSPe MADI FX board with another optical input and output. Like the standard expansion board, it also has a word clock input and output and a D-Sub connector for MIDI and AES. However, the standard coaxial MADI input and output is replaced by an optical one. By using the OPTO-X card, the MADI FX has three optical inputs and outputs.
