The 4099 CORE Instrument Microphone Loud SPL is the perfect microphone solution for PA amplification and live recording of the acoustic double bass (4099-DC-1-199-S). The sound is much more natural than with an internal microphone or pickup. The positioning on the instrument is excellent. The microphone and its holder are specially designed for double basses. This guarantees the best results in live performance in terms of positioning and sound. The microphone holder is attached to the E and G strings under the bridge. This places the microphone in the sweet spot between the bridge and the fretboard.

The supercardioid condenser microphone can also be mounted on another instrument with the appropriate Mounting Kit, making it possible to amplify an entire orchestra with just one model.
